Trading experience is the search for possibility in price and time

NOT SIGNALS. NOT ADVICE.

We code our own strategies and follow the markets with them. Here we share our levels, notes and ideas. We are not licensed or authorized advisers.

WE ARE FINARCHIST

Finarchist is an independent algorithmic-trading project. Our algorithms are built on our own strategies. We code them, follow the markets with them, and share our levels, notes and ideas.

Everything here is shared for educational and informational purposes.

fi/waves, fi/levels and fi/robots are tools we made for ourselves to save time when reading charts. We publish how they work and what they show, so that others can learn from them, or disagree with us.

OUR TOOLS AND NOTES

These are the tools and notes from our own project. We use them to follow fx, crypto and stock markets and to look at price action around important levels.

fi/waves strategy-based scripts here
fi/levels notes here
fi/robots market-following scripts here
fi/code our own indicators here

  • We coded fi/waves as scripts. We use them to mark market levels and reaction zones on our own charts. They are drawn from historical data and show where price has reacted before; they say nothing certain about what comes next.
  • fi/levels are our notes on the levels we watch, published on Substack. They list the short, medium and long term levels we are watching, so we do not waste time hunting for them.
  • Wave
  • fi/robots are our own scripts that keep an eye on the markets. They filter price data around our own strategy so we spend less time in front of the screen. They are experimental and still evolving.

HOW WE WORK ON OUR TRADING SYSTEM

We try to read the market through pure price action. Whether you are new or experienced, you may find our way of mapping market movements interesting.

We share our own tools and notes on FX, Crypto, Indices, Stocks and Commodities. These are our own views, shared for education and information, not a feed of trade alerts.

Our notes map the levels we are watching, with the reasoning behind them. If you read this site out of study or curiosity, take a look at the tools to see how we approach the market.

fi/waves algorithms

Strategy-based scripts

Finarchist algorithm

What are the uses of fi/wave strategies?

We use these scripts to follow market trends and possible reversals. They mark “test”, “retest”, “fake breakout”, “breakout” and “target” forms on our charts.

Fast (Day Trade)

Highlights in 1 minute frame

*Technical Analysis based formula component; we look at the 1-minute frame for new levels and trend points.

*Shows the very short-term / intraday levels and trend points we watch. Please do not ignore the risk factor.

*Marks technical levels determined through intraday Technical Analysis based formulas, with alert conditions at the breaking points.

*Marks where we see possible short-term trend changes on our charts.

Markets we follow: Currencies, Cryptocurrencies, Indices, Stocks

Swing levels we watch (short term)

Highlights of the 1-hour frame

*Technical Analysis based formula component; we look at the 60-minute frame for new levels and trend points.

*Shows the short and intermediate term trend starts and changes our script marks. No tool can see the future, and ours have limits too. Risk is always part of trading.

*Marks technical levels determined through short and intermediate term Technical Analysis based formulas, with alert conditions at break points. We use it as support for our personal trading strategy.

*Marks where we see possible short and intermediate-term trend changes on our charts.

Markets we follow: Currencies, Cryptocurrencies, Indices, Stocks, ETFs

Intermediate/Long (Collector Trade)

Highlights of the 8 hour / daily frame

*Technical Analysis based formula component; we look at the 8-hour / daily frame for new levels and trend points.

*Shows the intermediate and long-term (relatively) trend starts and changes our script marks.

*Marks technical levels determined through intermediate and long-term Technical Analysis based formulas, with alert conditions at break points. We use it as support for our personal trading strategy.

*Marks where we see possible intermediate and long-term trend changes on our charts.

Mechanizing a Strategy

Finarchist algorithm

How we mechanize a strategy

When we turn a strategy into code we first write down: which indicators are used, which time frame is traded, in what order the conditions appear, and what must be confirmed before we act.

Only then do we code it. Having the rules on paper leaves more time for ourselves.

fi/levels

Finarchist fi/level

DYNAMIC LEVELS WE USE FOR CONFIRMATION WHEN TRADING

These are the levels of the dynamic models we built for our own trading. We use them to look at market decision points; they are reference points, not instructions.

filevels

The fi/levels values can be added to any charting platform. We place them next to our own strategy as one more reference for confirmation.

We watch these price areas because price has reacted around them before. That says nothing certain about what happens next.

We publish our fi/levels notes on Substack. They cover fx, crypto and stock markets, for example the sets below: Finarchist | Substack.

  • Set 1: SPX500
  • Set 2: DXY, US30, NAS100, DAX, UK100, JP225
  • Set 3: EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURJPY, USDJPY, XAUUSD, XAGUSD, USOIL
  • Set 4: BTCUSD, ETHUSDT, SOLUSDT, ADAUSDT, XRPUSDT
  • Set 5: AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, GOOG, NVDA, TSLA, META

Evolution of Algorithmic Trading

Finarchist algorithm

What does fi/robots do?

Spending long hours analysing the market is tiring. fi/robots is our attempt at scripts that follow the market and apply our own rules, so we have more time away from the screen.

The scripts are built around our own strategy and are experimental. They take the rules we would apply by hand and carry them out the way we defined them.

F-BOARD

What is the goal of our robot?

Our first fi/robot is a dynamic component for watching short and medium term waves. It marks where we think a wave may be changing.

Finarchist algorithm

This is not a signal. It is the tool we use to keep an eye on possible wave movements.

It combines analysis and dynamic filtering to save us time in our own daily trading, using defined rules, data technology and our own strategy.

It follows a wide set of instruments across commodities, futures, indices, forex and crypto.

We use the F-board to keep track of what we are watching. We do not publish TP or SL levels.

X-BOARD

Our Strategy, Our Robot, Our Trade Board

Our X-board raises an alert in our own setup when a potential market move completes in line with our strategy.

It alerts us when several of our technical conditions line up.

Alerts appear when multiple technical indicators align, and go to the channels we choose (email, Telegram, etc.).

We follow stocks, ETFs, currencies, commodities, futures and crypto with it.

It lets us follow the markets without waiting in front of the screen all the time.

Sources we follow

Public market reports and research notes.

The economic calendar and important news developments.

Volatility news and market sentiment commentary.

fi/code Indicators

Scripts we built for our own trading

What do the fi/code indicators do?

These panels help us manage our own positions, monitor the market and our trades, and save time.

Our other indicators draw possible trade setups from formulas. We use them to follow market trends and possible reversals.

Risk Management/Multi-Tiered Position Terminal

Risk Management/Multi-Tiered Position Terminal

The script titled "finarchist | Risk Management/Multi-Tiered Terminal" is a dashboard for planning multi-tier position entries. It lets us plan scaling into a trade in steps while keeping track of the risk.

Personal Trade/Market Sentinel Dashboard

Personal Trade/Market Sentinel Dashboard

While we focus on one chart, this tool quietly monitors gold, silver or all our tracked stocks in the background.
